Ford visits flood-stricken Ontario municipalities, meets with mayors

Ontario Premier Doug Ford visited municipalities in the Niagara Region that have declared states of emergency following recent severe flooding. During his visit, the Premier met with local mayors and engaged with community members and workers affected by the storm damage to discuss the situation on the ground.

The visit follows a public appeal for provincial and federal assistance from St. Catharines Mayor Mat Siscoe. Prior to the Premier's arrival, Siscoe had expressed concern that the city was being left to manage the recovery efforts without adequate external support.
