Former head of Rwanda's presidential guard dies in prison, his brother says

Tom Byabagamba, the former commander of Rwanda's elite presidential guard under President Paul Kagame, has died in prison at the age of 59 after serving a dozen years behind bars. His death in custody was confirmed by his brother.

Before his imprisonment, Byabagamba led the presidential guard before ultimately being convicted of inciting insurrection.
