Greek Drivers Arrested Over Alleged Migrant Smuggling

Over a recent 24-hour period, authorities in Thessaloniki arrested two Greek men in separate cases involving the alleged illegal transport of migrants. The operations were conducted following checks carried out by the Thessaloniki Aliens Directorate.

In the first of the incidents, police detained a 29-year-old Greek man. Law enforcement officers discovered four Afghan men in his vehicle during the routine or targeted inspections conducted by the directorate.
