Ten lions were discovered dead on September 18 in the Ndutu sector of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in northern Tanzania. The site is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Initial assessments suggest that the animals may have ingested poison. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the pride.
