Senior Indonesian singer Harvey Malaihollo has issued a public appeal to contemporary composers, urging them to strictly adhere to the original notations of patriotic and independence songs.

Malaihollo made the statement to emphasize the importance of preserving the authenticity and historical integrity of traditional struggle songs as they are interpreted by newer generations of musicians.
