India rejects Kashmir references in Turkish President’s UNGA address as ‘unwarranted’

India has formally rejected remarks concerning Jammu and Kashmir made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his address at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal characterized the references as unwarranted, reaffirming India's position on the region.

The diplomatic response follows the Turkish President's public comments on the status of Kashmir during the international summit. By labeling the remarks as unwarranted, the Indian government continues its established policy of dismissing external commentary on the internal affairs of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
