Simultaneously, in an unrelated violent incident reported in Mexico, six members of the Hernández Solano family were killed in an armed attack during the early hours of Thursday in Cerro de las Lumbreras, a mountainous community in San Miguel Totolapan, Guerrero. Local residents linked the killings to the family's refusal to sell their land.
