Internal watchdog finds FEMA crew violated Hatch Act by skipping homes with Trump signs

An internal government watchdog has found that a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) crew violated the law by bypassing homes displaying President Trump signs during Hurricane Milton recovery efforts in 2024.

The findings were detailed in a new report from the Department of Homeland Security’s inspector general’s office, revealing that the crew's actions constituted a violation of the Hatch Act.
