The Central Electoral Board (JCE) of the Dominican Republic has provisionally suspended a specific article of its polling regulations. This suspended rule previously prohibited the publication or broadcasting of electoral surveys outside of the officially established pre-campaign and campaign periods.
The suspension will remain in place while a legal controversy surrounding the regulation is being decided through the judicial system.
