David Santiago Tamayo Roldán, director of the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (Ungrd), has warned that the critical window for rescue operations following a recent earthquake is rapidly closing.

Speaking on the ongoing emergency response, Tamayo Roldán stated that the probability of locating survivors diminishes as time advances. Despite the dwindling timeframe, response efforts involving the agency, search and rescue organizations, and volunteers remain active.
