Las personas afectadas por despido colectivo suben un 15,6 %, la mayoría en los servicios

During the first five months of 2025, the number of employees impacted by collective layoffs in Spain rose by 15.6% compared to the same period in the previous year. This increase represents 16,931 total individuals affected, marking a net rise of 2,289 workers.

Data indicates that the services sector accounts for the majority of these dismissals, with seven out of every ten affected employees coming from this industry. The figures reflect a notable shift in labor market stability within the region during the first half of the year.
