Leitrim’s biodiversity comes to life on colourful ‘canal coasters’ in hope of sparking conversation

Leitrim’s local biodiversity is being highlighted through the introduction of colourful 'canal coasters' placed along waterways in the county. The initiative aims to use these visual installations to spark public conversation regarding the region's natural environment and ecological variety. By integrating artistic elements into the canal landscape, organizers hope to engage the community and visitors with the importance of preserving local wildlife and habitats. The project serves as a creative outreach effort to raise awareness about the specific biodiversity found within Leitrim’s canal network.
