The leader of the pacifist Yabloko party voted for “peace” and “life without fear” in the Russian parliamentary elections.

During the Russian legislative elections held on Sunday, Nikolái Ribakov, leader of the pacifist Yábloko party, cast his vote while explicitly advocating for peace, freedom, and a life without fear. Ribakov signaled his political stance by writing these messages by hand on his ballots before depositing them at a polling station in Moscow.

In a separate development during the same electoral process, veteran Communist Party of Russia leader Guennadi Ziuganov noted the broader national context of the vote. While participating in the election, Ziuganov emphasized that the current legislative proceedings are taking place during a time of war.
