Costa Rican authorities executed a massive anti-organized crime operation involving 1,275 judicial officials and 80 simultaneous raids across the country. The coordinated mega-operation resulted in 31 arrests.

During the enforcement actions, an armed confrontation broke out, leaving two police officers wounded by gunfire. The scale of the deployment marks the operation as one of the largest efforts undertaken against organized crime groups in Costa Rica.
