Deziree Hood is accused of using dates and a night out at a Miami strip club to get close to men — then walking away with their jewelry, cash and other valuables, according to police.Detectives say Hood stole two gold chains worth about $110,000 from a man she met at Booby Trap on the River in August.Miami police call it “robbery by seduction.”Weeks later, investigators say Hood was back at the Booby Trap and went home with another man to keep the party going. Police say the man woke up and discovered he had been robbed.According to police, the stolen jewelry, apparel and U.S. currency totaled $25,400.A look into Hood’s background found she was arrested by deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office last year after agreeing to accept $120 in exchange for sex acts from an undercover detective.Hood is also connected to a story Local 10 reported in May.
She was accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars in jewelry and a $14,000 Rolex from a man at the Candlewood Suites in Miami. Prosecutors said she may have drugged that victim.Investigators also say that days later, she stole $60,000 worth of valuables from another man in Brickell.Hood turned herself in to Miami police with the help of her lawyer.She was ordered by a judge to stay away from the Booby Trap on the River at 1651 Southwest 13th Avenue in Miami.Hood was on bond when police say she committed these crimes. Miami police are asking for the public’s help Thursday in identifying a driver in connection with a hit-and-run that they say left a 26-year-old man dead Tuesday morning. The crash occurred at about 12:48 a.m. near Southwest Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street, police said.
The victim was identified as Elias Schaber, according to investigators.
