Carlos Massoni, popularly known as 'Mosquito', a world champion basketball player with the Brazilian national team and a two-time Olympic medalist, died on Thursday at the age of 87.

The death of the former athlete was officially announced by the Brazilian Basketball Confederation (CBB).
