N’Kiyla Thomas wins Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Oklahoma

N’Kiyla Jasmine Thomas has won the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate in Oklahoma, according to projections by Decision Desk HQ and the Associated Press. Thomas secured the victory after advancing from a June primary runoff, where neither candidate had initially secured over half of the vote, and ultimately defeated fellow Democrat Jim Priest, a lawyer.
