Navy to entrust depot-level maintenance of Aegis destroyer to Hanwha Ocean

The South Korean Navy announced it has signed a contract with Hanwha Ocean to entrust the company with the depot-level maintenance of an Aegis destroyer. The agreement was finalized and announced in Seoul.

This marks a significant move by the Navy to utilize private defense contractors for major overhaul and maintenance operations on its advanced surface combatants, specifically the Aegis-class destroyers.
