Nepal and China resume flood rescue after lake threat eases, death toll tops 500

Nepal and China have resumed flood rescue operations along their shared border near the autonomous region of Tibet after the immediate threat posed by a dangerous lake has eased. The severe flooding and mudslides have resulted in a death toll that has now surpassed 500.
