Nepal-China mountain region hit by deadly flood has danger but also draws trekkers to its heights

Flash floods spurred by a glacier collapse have struck the mountain range along the Nepal-China border, resulting in hundreds of deaths and widespread destruction this week.

Despite the severe dangers inherent to the region, the affected mountain areas also serve as a major draw for trekkers and are home to millions of people.
