Gunman shoots and kills a teacher at a kindergarten in eastern Thailand

A gunman shot and killed a teacher on Wednesday at the Nongplalai Municipal Kindergarten in Chonburi province, eastern Thailand. Authorities confirmed that 44 children and three other teachers were safely evacuated from the building following the incident. The shooting occurred at approximately 11 a.m. local time.

Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene and returned to his home. Police initiated negotiations to secure his surrender. Reports identify the perpetrator as a police officer and the victim as his wife, who was employed at the school.
