The average global sea surface temperature reached 21.1 degrees Celsius last Saturday, setting a new record that surpasses the previous high of 21.09 degrees recorded in March 2024.

The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), which operates as the climate monitoring system for the European Union's Earth observation program, announced the measurement on Monday.
