On Tuesday, countries of the European Union agreed to lift the European preference clause attached to a financial support loan granted to Kyiv. This decision enables Ukraine to use the funds to purchase essential components and defense material for US-made Patriot anti-aircraft systems from third-party countries outside the bloc.

In a related development on the same day, British authorities announced a new military support package for Ukraine valued at 100 million pounds, equivalent to approximately 116 million euros. This package is specifically designated to bolster Ukraine's air defense capabilities by including air defense interceptors and artillery shells.
