Robots that participated in the Beijing Games now have to work

The World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing have entered their second edition with a new operational focus, requiring participating machines to demonstrate practical work capabilities rather than just athletic or recreational skills like running, jumping, or playing soccer.

To reflect this shift toward industrial and task-oriented utility, the tournament has significantly expanded its competition environment. This year, the number of scenarios inspired by real-world tasks has increased from six to twenty, testing the robots' abilities to perform functional labor.
