Shas candidate’s nonprofit for bereaved families diverted funds to yeshiva students — report

A Channel 12 investigation has accused Dror Amos, the sixth-ranked candidate for the Shas party, of improperly diverting funds through a nonprofit organization originally intended for bereaved families. According to the report, the funds were redirected to yeshiva students in a case involving double funding and patronage networks linked to Amos's associates.

In response to the findings, a rights group has formally requested a criminal investigation into the matter. The organization is also seeking Amos's disqualification from the upcoming election following the allegations of financial misconduct and misuse of nonprofit resources.
