Authorities in Nepal have recovered 162 bodies following a massive flash flood in the Himalayas that struck near the border with China. The fatalities are concentrated primarily in the districts of Chitwan, where 64 bodies were found, along with 27 in Dhading and 26 in Nawalparasi East.

In addition to the confirmed fatalities, more than 500 people remain missing in the aftermath of the disaster. Rescue and recovery operations are ongoing as officials continue to assess the full extent of the devastation caused by the massive river flood.
