Teacher slapped four-year-old across face in ‘serious misconduct’

Shifali Arora, a teacher at Lollipops Takanini, slapped a four-year-old child across the face in July 2020. The incident took place at the early childhood facility in New Zealand.

Following the event, the New Zealand Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal reviewed the case and formally censured Arora, finding her actions constituted serious misconduct.
