RFK Jr. moves forward with Head Start overhaul, proposing to eliminate regulations for the early education program

The administration of President Donald Trump, through the Department of Health and Human Services, announced plans in Washington to overhaul the Head Start program. The initiative, moved forward by RFK Jr., proposes to eliminate many of the existing regulations that serve as the hallmark of the early education program.

Head Start is designed specifically for the nation's poorest children. By tossing out numerous regulations, the proposed overhaul marks a significant restructuring of the federal early childhood education initiative.
