Iran’s president says his country will not give up its right to a peaceful nuclear program.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the United Nations, stating that his country remains committed to a peaceful nuclear program and will not abandon that right. He emphasized that Tehran is open to diplomatic negotiations but refused to capitulate to United States pressure, declaring that the nation would not 'cave to US force' or 'bend the knee.'

In his address, Pezeshkian also highlighted a shared commitment to 'resistance' between Iran and Gaza. The remarks underscore ongoing tensions regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions and its regional alignments, even as the leadership signals a dual stance of openness to talks alongside firm defiance against foreign coercion.
