Wildfires kill 12 in Algeria as severe heatwave sweeps North Africa

Wildfires across northern Algeria resulted in 12 deaths and dozens of injuries on Wednesday. Authorities are currently working to contain more than 150 active blazes as the region experiences a severe and widespread heatwave.
