Zanzibar allocates funds for district disability officers’ transport

The Zanzibar government has officially allocated funds in the current financial year’s budget to procure transport facilities for District Disability Officers. This initiative focuses on equipping the remaining officers across both Unguja and Pemba who currently lack necessary mobility resources.

The allocation is intended to improve the delivery of services for people with disabilities throughout the region. By providing these transport facilities, the government aims to enhance the operational capacity of district officials tasked with supporting the disability community.
